Hey U! That’s an excellent question. Remember that the post itself comes from a very individual personal place, which is not the point of view that I usually write from this affects the answer, That’s not nearly as important as the fact that you WROTE and ASKED – thank you for that! As to the question: Why do I miss looking ahead to the future? Because for as long as I can remember, the future, which can not be predicted, has always held the promise of an infinite number of possibilities for humanity and possibilities are such a wonderful thing. It’s like an enormous fertile field in which you can cultivate whatever you can imagine. Looking forward to the possibilities that the future holds is one of the elements of happiness; another word for this could be HOPE. When I say that I miss looking forward to the future, it is because the possibilities become fewer with each passing day. The human race has a spear through its collective head and we are slowly bleeding to death because of it, yet far from pulling it out or at least recognizing the fact that the spear is there and that it’s dangerous, we keep looking for ways to justify the spear’s presence and try to convince ourselves that it’s “normal”. For the last 3 years or so, all of my time has been put into creating awareness about “the spear through our head”, so not only are there fewer possibilities every day, there is also less time to contemplate them. I miss looking forward to possibilities. I miss “sowing in the fertile fields of humanity”. I will never give up hope and I will never stop doing everything I can to get back our possibilities for the future. That’s what makes humanity HUMAN.

      L ME
