For the love of money

Nowadays, it is not uncommon at all to meet or know someone or even several people who ‘used to have money’ or were ‘well off’ and lost all their money or had their money almost “evaporate” before their eyes during the first part of the financial collapse these last 7-8 years and have no money at all now.  This happened to a lot of people who now find themselves with no way to support a home and/or family and no way produce any wealth or the money it represents (this used to be called an income).  They are desperate and frustrated and genuinely have no idea as to what to do, so chances are they will do nothing.

This is a truly horrific thing to see.  A person in this condition is almost at the point of breaking; ready to cut the link with reality.  The worst part seems to manifest in an intense awareness-expanding way.  This comparison is made because of the bone-jarring realization that for many; their money was all they ever really had.    In the end, money is a terrible companion, a horrible partner and an even worse deity.

We can do so much better.

Amazing as we loose our incomes and have no idea what to do, while others (potential employers and lenders) are giving crazy amounts of money away for election campaigns!
    See for yourself: http://elections.nytimes.com/2012/campaign-finance
As of the 1st week of September, 2012 the amount has already exceeded 1.3 BILLION DOLLARS.
This type of fundraising bore a giant burden for the American people, not only money but the lost of opportunity and time.
We must be crazy people, and I pray that our candidates pay attention to this because we can do much better !!!

Here we are, 2 weeks after this wonderful post and what “we the people” do ?

As early as 3 AM on September 14, people were already lined-up and online to get the new iPhone 5 only to find out in less than an hour that the batch was sold-out and there is a 2 week wait time!
    What?
You mean to tell me I can’t spend the $200 right now?
The money that I have been skimming off the utility bills; groceries; the pampers money I have been putting away so my wife will not know!
Or better yet, a newscaster from one radio station says: “I’m single, living in a loft on South Beach (that he is most likely renting from some unfortunate individual that is going through his loan modification or almost faces foreclosure), I have the extra $300 to throw so all my friends at the nightclub can see that I have the new cool looking iPhone!”
    Are you kidding me?
    Wow, what did we become?
    Are we that careless?
    Are we that selfish?
While there are people that have no way to support a home and/or family.
While there are more important cellular accessories that can protect us and our loved ones like http://www.Cell-Repel.com
We would rather sell for a deep discount or give away a brand new iPhone 4S just so we can have the newest and the latest?

Almost all radio stations and the news are talking about “the release of the new iPhone 5…”
For a moment I thought that there was nothing else news worthy; not the elections, not the Embassy riots in Egypt, not the killing of the US Ambassador in Libya, all news were focused on the release of the new iPhone 5 and that it was already sold-out.

“…the first batch of iPhone 5 models sold within an hour were sold.” http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-57512798-37/iphone-5-sales-exhaust-initial-supply-trip-up-servers

“The iPhone 5 Already Has a Two Week Wait for Shipping” http://gizmodo.com/iphone-5

Wow, wow, WOW ! What did we become ?

    People, please, WAKE-UP !

WE CAN DO SO MUCH BETTER !!!

  4. Hello there! This post could not be written much better!
Looking through this post reminds me of my previous roommate!
He constantly kept talking about this. I am going to send this post to him.
Fairly certain he’ll have a very good read. I appreciate you for sharing!
